WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT CELL Women's Development Cell (WEC) of the College plays an active role in making the students aware of the problems faced by women and suggest ways and methods for their development in society. WEC sensitizes the University community on issues pertaining to women's rights, gender parity and empowerment. The cell works to make students responsible citizens, who facilitate enabling environment, where girls are treated with dignity and respect, and to advocate for gender equality and monitor progress towards gender justice and Women empowerment. The cell takes the initiative in organising seminars, workshops, debates, street plays, film screening etc. WDC welcomes both girls and boys as members.

The Women's Cell looks after the safety of all girl students, women teachers and other staff members within the campus. It also looks into the matter of solving any kind of gender based physical, mental or psychological harassment faced by any lady whether student or staff.

The cell aims to create positive social norms in the campus that value every individual, irrespective of their gender. It aims to engage gender champions to challenge and shift gender norms in the society which are not positive towards girls under the guidance of their teachers.
